Andrew is a freelance football journalist who writes for FourFourTwo, Unibet, the Mirror and loads more.
Although born in Glasgow, he quickly realised that his heart wasn't in the SPL a d in 2004 he took an interest in Ligue 1. Lille became his team when a friend's mum brought back a scarf after a business trip. Soon he knew everything about the club and then all the teams that they were playing. Various trips to France has seen him attend games in Lille, Paris, Lyon, Montpellier and Marseille. His love of Ligue 1 even saw him live in France for a season - watching 55 live games in the process.
Now living in Manchester, Andrew still travels to France for games and has his finger on the pulse of the game across the channel. He also covers the FAWSL and football league.


Favourite football moment

A trip to the south of France in 2012 to watch Montpelier v Lille meant I was in the stadium to witness La Paillade all but clinch their first ever league title against the might of PSG. It was an amazing experience to see the joy and emotion around the city. It's probably the happiest I've ever been to see my team lose..
