The 19-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at the Merseyside club, with the Addicks set to receive up to around £10 million for the deal.
On Thursday, our unique FW Index had the deal at 4.9 – it doesn’t get much more nailed on than that – and it’s a deal we’ve been tracking since the 22nd of November, when Lookman was linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and the Toffees.
“As soon as I heard about Everton’s interest I knew this would be the right place for me,” the winger told press during his unveiling.
“Everton has a big history and I was also attracted by the manager. When you look at what he did at Southampton and what he does with young players in terms of developing them, that was a big attraction.”
Moving into December, the rating jumped up to 3.2, and Football Whispers provided Everton fans with an in depth look at the potential signing. Once the window opened, business began to pick up. Rumours of Memphis Depay signing continued to take up the headlines, but our index had Ademola’s move at 3.5, then up to 4.5.
“First of all, we have been really impressed with his qualities,” Koeman said of Lookman. “We will see what happens but he will be involved with the first team because we need to see how his qualities compare to our first-team players.”
“He can play from the left side, he can play out of the right wing position (and) he can play like a second striker. He is fast and his movement is very dangerous. He is a player who scores goals.”

Everton are not finished in this window, with Morgan Schneiderlin at 4.6, Depay at 2.4 and mentions of Watford’s Etienne Capoue, Michael Keane of Burnley and Boro’s Ben Gibson all on the index, it’s going to be a busy month for Toffee fans.
