Bakayoko: Not Good Enough Or Short Of Confidence?

Tiémoué Bakayoko’s last Premier League outing wasn’t one to remember.

The Chelsea midfielder was sent off after half an hour against Watford as the Blues lost 4-1.

While it may have seemed like a blow for Antonio Conte’s side, the French international’s performance was so bad, having him leave the pitch wasn’t the worst thing in the world.

He constantly gave the ball away by getting caught in possession and made a number of clumsy challenges.

It seemed mad that he was one of the most-sought after prospects in Europe last summer, with Chelsea reportedly beating Manchester United to his signature when they bought him from Monaco for £40million.

He has looked out of place in the pitch in recent weeks, with many calling him a waste of money.

But is the 23-year-old a poor player or simply short of confidence?
We’ve addressed the issue in the video at the top of the page.
