In their first fixture since their World Cup heroics in Russia this summer, England host Spain at Wembley Stadium as the inaugural UEFA Nations League tournament commences.

Gareth Southgate has named a squad containing few surprises for the visit of La Roja, choosing to stay loyal to the stars who carried the Three Lions to the semi-finals of world football’s grandest competition in July.

There are, however, a couple of notable names returning to the fold after injury- and form-enforced absences, with Luke Shaw’s Manchester United performances earning him a first call-up since March 2017, and Liverpool‘s Joe Gomez back in England white after missing the World Cup through injury.
