Every day Football Whispers pore over Europe’s major news outlets in search of the latest transfer reports relating to your club.
We then assess the reliability of the rumours, determine the likelihood of the moves, and analyse where the potential signings would fit in.
Today we bring you talk of in-demand Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappé and his future, Inter Milan giving Tottenham Hotspur hope in their pursuit of Serge Aurier, and how Liverpool transfer target Arturo Vidal might be returning to Italy.
Paris Saint-Germain out of race to sign Mbappé?
There is supposedly a continent-wide backlash against the Ligue 1 side’s summer spending and bringing in the 18-year-old would only antagonise further. And, according to Marca, the French side may have to shelve plans to bring in the teenage sensation.
It would blow the race for the striker’s signature wide open. Manchester City are long-term admirers of the French forward and are likely to battle it out with Zinédine Zidane’s men.
However, can you really rule PSG out of it? Would they pass up the opportunity of signing a generational talent purely because some teams aren’t happy that the French side are flexing their financial muscle?
Liverpool transfer targets on the move?
Sportbild claims that the Bundesliga side are looking to bring in players to bolster their attack and the Brazilian has emerged as an option.
He was close to agreeing a move to Spartak Moscow before Gremio, his club, stalled the deal amid interest from elsewhere.
If the Reds do retain an interest in the Brazilian – perhaps as a replacement for Barcelona transfer target Philippe Coutinho – then the window of opportunity to sign him is closing and they need to act quickly.
Jürgen Klopp’s men could also miss out on reported target Arturo Vidal. We looked at whether or not a move for the 30-year-old Chilean was worthwhile for Liverpool here.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan both want to bring the former Juventus midfielder back to Italy.
But now it’s emerged city rivals Milan have joined the race for the box-to-box midfielder and are prepared to double his current wages in a bid to gazump their rivals and finish off a fine summer transfer window.
Coutinho in, Suárez out?
The midfielder is happy at the Nou Camp but the potential arrivals of Coutinho and Ousmane Dembélé could see his playing time decrease, and in a World Cup year first-team football is crucial.
The Serie A side are prepared to pay as much as €35million to secure the services of the 23-year-old, and although Barcelona would probably like to keep the player, their board is forever making costly mistakes. Could this be yet another?
Spurs given hope in Aurier pursuit
Inter have also been linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Serge Aurier but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian side have switched their attention to Valencia full-back João Cancelo.
The Serie A side are also prepared to use wantaway midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia as part of the team. It’s a move which would leave Spurs free to battle it out with Manchester United for the unwanted Paris Saint-Germain full-back.
