Arsenal know they realistically have to beat Manchester United this weekend if they’re to have any chance of keeping their top-four hopes alive.
The Gunners go into the weekend in sixth, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, but with a game in hand.
Arsène Wenger has never beaten old foe José Mourinho in the Premier League, but the Gunners are unbeaten in their last four league games at the Emirates.
NOW PROVE YOUR FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE BY CREATING AND SHARING YOUR OWN STARTING XI FOR ARSENAL v MAN UNITED
You would expect Arsenal to carry on with the 3-4-3 formation which has started to make the Gunners look like a threat again.
Wenger will have to choose between Héctor Bellerín and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at right wing-back, but with the England international named as Arsenal’s player of the month for April, you’d think that he’d go with him.
Granit Xhaka will definitely miss out through an ankle injury, with Francis Coquelin likely to deputise for him.
Shkodran Mustafi has returned to full training and could feature, while Lucas Pérez is 50/50 after getting a knock in training.
And with Mustafi back in contention, Nacho Monreal could return to left wing-back, a role carried out by Kieran Gibbs against Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City.
David Ospina is back available following his muscle injury, but it’s unlikely he’ll replace Petr Cech in goal.
Santi Cazorla and Jeff Reine-Adelaide will both miss out through long-term injuries.
