It’s been a disappointing fortnight for Manchester City. They were blown away by Liverpool in the Champions League and their Premier League title celebrations were put on ice by Manchester United last weekend.
However, the campaign has still been an excellent one for Pep Guardiola and his side and victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley would all but carve City’s name on the top flight trophy.
They wouldn’t be crowned champions – although that could happen on Sunday if United lose to West Brom – but it would allow Guardiola and his players the opportunity to relax and ease through their final five fixtures of the campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team, meanwhile, have all but sealed their place in the top four. But they are still gunning for second place to cap another great season for the men from the lane.
