Adam Smith

Adam Smith is an English goalkeeper who plays for Forest Green Rovers. Born on 23rd November 1992, Smith joined Northampton Town on a two-year deal in July 2015 after having his contract terminated by Leicester City following an incident during the club’s pre-season tour of Thailand that summer. Smith had spent five years with the Foxes having joined at junior level – including loan spells at Chesterfield, Lincoln City, Stevenage, Cambridge United and Mansfield Town – but never made a senior appearance for the club. He was a winner at Wembley in May 2014 when he played in Newport County’s National League play-off final victory over Gateshead, and was an ever-present during Northampton’s 2015/16 League Two title-winning campaign.
