Adrian Mariappa

Adrian Mariappa is a Jamaican international who plays for Watford. Born in London on 3rd October 1986, Mariappa began his career in the Hornets academy before making his first-team debut in a League Cup tie against Notts County on 23rd August 2005 – and was part of the squad that gained promotion via the Championship play-offs that season. The versatile defender’s first spell at Vicarage Road came to an end in July 2012 when he moved to Reading, but after relegation with the Royals he returned to the Premier League with Crystal Palace for the 2013/14 season. After his release at the end of 2015/16, he rejoined Watford as a free agent. During his international career, Mariappa has played in two Copa America tournaments for Jamaica.
