Agustín Pelletieri

Agustin Pelletieri, born on the 17th May 1982, is an Argentine defensive midfielder who plays for . Having played youth football for a local team, he signed for Lanús at the age of 18 and made his first team debut in 2003. He was a key part of the team which lifted Lanús’ first league title in the 2007 Apertura, and in July 2008 a loan fee of US$1.1m took him to AEK Athens in Greece for a season. On returning to Argentina, he signed for the club he supported as a child, Racing, in July 2011, and stayed there until joining Chivas USA in February 2014. In January 2015 he was given a free transfer to Tigre, and in January 2016 he returned to Lanús, where a few months later he won his – and the club’s – second league title.
