Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a French born, Cameroon international defender who plays for . He began his career for RC Lens, joining as a 10-year-old, then making his debut against Paris Saint-Germain in 2004. Able to play any of the full-back roles, after two years in the first team is joined Tottenham Hotspur. He would spend nine years at Spurs, playing over 150 league games, including a season-long loan at Queens Park Rangers in 2013. In February 2015, after playing no part in the season, he was released from his contract. He joined Saint-Etienne that summer, then moved to FC Metz a year later.
