Billy McKay

Born on 22nd October 1988, Billy McKay is a Northern Ireland international striker who currently plays for Ross County. Signed to Oldham Athletic until June 2017, McKay signed for Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan for the 2016/17 campaign. A fast, skilful forward who comes alive in the penalty area, McKay is a product of the Leicester City youth set-up but who made his name while on loan in the Scottish Premiership with Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His most notable season to date being in 2012/13 where he finished as the league’s third top goal scorer (23 goals), while the following year he missed a penalty in the Scottish League Cup final shoot-out as Caley lost to Aberdeen. McKay made his international debut for Northern Ireland in February 2013.
