Bryan Oviedo

Bryan Oviedo is a Costa Rica international who signed for FC København in August 2012. Born on 18th February 1990, Oviedo started out as a teenager at Deportivo Saprissa but moved to Europe to sign for FC Kobenhavn in January 2010 – making three Danish Superligaen appearances at the end of a championship-winning campaign. A loan move to FC Nordsjaelland during the 2010/11 season brought Danish Cup success before the versatile defensive midfielder returned to the Copenhagen where two more league titles and one more cup success followed. A £5m transfer to Everton was completed at the end of the 2012 summer transfer window. A leg-break in an FA Cup fourth round tie against Stevenage in January 2014 meant Oviedo missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup, however he has over 25 caps for his country and played in the Copa América Centenario in 2016.
