Calvin Andrew

Born on 19th December 1986, Calvin Andrew is an English striker who plays for Rochdale. It would be fair to describe Andrew as a journeyman pro, having represented 12 different clubs in the first decade of his career. Far from being a prolific striker – he has a goals-to-game ratio of around one in ten – Andrew has brought a physical and aerial presence in the final third and in both penalty areas to each of the sides he has featured in. A lower-league specialist, Andrew has won promotion on two occasions: firstly with Luton Town in the 2004/5 League One season and again in 2012/13 in League Two with Port Vale. In July 2014 he signed for Rochdale, where he had made almost 100 appearances for the club by the start of the 2016/17 season.
