Conor McAleny

Conor McAleny is an English striker who currently plays for Shrewsbury Town. Born in Liverpool on 12th August 1992, McAleny joined the Everton youth set-up as an 11-year-old and worked his way up through the age groups to make his first-team debut as a substitute in a Premier League match against Arsenal in December 2011. He continued his progress with the Everton development side and joined Scunthorpe United on loan in March 2012 but broke his leg during a six loan spell at Brentford in 2013. On his return to action McAleny featured in the UEFA Europa League against FC Krasnodar in December 2014, before another loan move to Cardiff City in February 2015. He joined Championship side Charlton Athletic on loan until 7 November 2016.
