Curtis Davies

Curtis Davies is an England U21 international central defender who plays for Derby County. Born in London on 15th March 1985, Davies is yet to be capped at full international level but is also eligible for Sierra Leone through his father and the Republic of Ireland through his Irish-born grandmother. Having played in the Championship for Luton Town, Premier League West Bromwich Albion paid £3m for the then 20-year-old defender in August 2005. After two seasons at the Hawthorns, Davies crossed The Midlands twice between 2008 and 2013: firstly to Aston Villa – which included a loan spell at Leicester City during 2010/11 – and then Birmingham City. Hull signed Davies for £2m in June 2013 – he captained the Tigers and scored in the 2014 FA Cup Final 3-2 loss to Arsenal, and returned to Wembley to help clinch promotion from the Championship via the play-offs in 2016. Davies has played for England U21s and has also been called up to the senior squad but is as yet uncapped at full international level.
