David Buchanan

David Buchanan is a former Northern Ireland U21 international defender who plays club football for . Born on 6th May 1986, in Rochdale, he joined nearby Bury as a junior and made his senior debut in April 2005. After almost 200 appearances for the club over five year, he spent the 2010/11 season in the Scottish Premiership with Hamilton Academicals before returning to the north-west England in League Two with Tranmere Rovers and then Preston North End – where he was part of the squad that gained promotion to the Championship in 2015, although he left the club during the winter transfer window. The following season the left full-back was an ever-present as Northampton Town won the League Two title.
