David Cornell

Born on 28th March 1991, David Cornell is a former Welsh U21 goalkeeper who plays for Northampton Town. The tall, athletic shot stopper signed for Northampton Town in July 2016 to compete for the No.1 jersey with Adam Smith. Having come through the youth set-up at Swansea City, Cornell first represented Wales at junior level in 2007 and won a maiden U21 cap in May 2010. At club level, he enjoyed most game time (24 league appearances) during the 2011/12 season with Hereford United, before moving on again, including time in the Scottish Premiership with St Mirren and the 2015/16 season at Oldham Athletic in League One.
