David Villa

David Villa is a Spanish striker who was born on December 4 1981 and plays for Vissel Kobe as a designated player. Villa came out of Sporting Gijon’s youth sector and made his senior debut for their B team in 2000. After a successful spell with the B team in which he scored 14 goals in 36 appearances, Villa then went to Sporting Gijon’s senior team. In 2003, the striker moved to Zaragoza where he played for two seasons. Following his stint there, Villa joined Valencia in 2005. With Valencia, the striker scored 107 goals in 166 appearances from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, Villa joined Spanish giants Barcelona. At Barcelona, he won the Champions League, two La Liga titles and a Copa del Rey among other things. In 2013, Villa signed with Atletico Madrid, where he’d win one La Liga title. In 2014, he joined New York City FC. Internationally, Villa has made 97 appearances for Spain scoring 59 times winning one World Cup and one Euro.
