Diego López

Diego López is a Spanish goalkeeper born 3rd November 1981 who plays for Espanyol. Lopez started out with Lugo, before signing with Real Madrid prior to his 19th birthday. After years as back-up, he moved on to Villarreal in 2007 and became an established starter for the team playing over 200 games. A brief spell at Sevilla then followed in 2012, before signing with Real Madrid under a year later. He became a regular with Jose Mourinho, and forced Iker Casillas out of the team. In August 2014, Lopez switched to the Milan but returned to Spain on 31st August 2016, joining Espanyol on loan.
