Emiliano Papa

Emiliano Papa is an Argentine midfielder who currently plays for Arsenal de Sarandí. Born on the 19th April 1982, he made his debut in 2002 for Rosario Central, and went on to become a fixture in the side before joining Vélez Sarsfield in July 2006. After an unsuccessful first season he returned to Central on loan for the 2007-08 season, but his second spell at Vélez proved more fruitful: he played almost 300 matches for the club before leaving in January 2015 to join Independiente for that year’s Primera División campaign. In February 2016, Papa signed for Tigre on a free transfer. He has won three league titles and an Argentine Supercup, all with Vélez.
