Emmanuel Rivière

Emmanuel Riviere is a French forward who plays for Cosenza. Born on 3rd March 1990, Riviere spent his final years as a youth player with Saint-Étienne, before being promoted to the first team in 2009. On 3 January 2009, he made his professional debut in a French Cup match against Bordeaux. At the end of the month, Riviere made his league debut in a match against rivals Lyon, which ended in a 1-1 draw. In the summer of 2010, Riviere signed a three-year contract extension with Saint-Étienne until June 2014. The following summer, he completed his €6 million move to French club Toulouse, on a four-year contract. During his two seasons with Toulouse, Riviere bagged 10 goals in 44 appearances for the side. In January 2013, Riviere joined Monaco on a four-and-a-half-year contract for a fee reported of €4 million. Few days later, he scored his first goal for Monaco on his debut in a 2–0 victory versus Arles. On 16 July 2014, Riviere joined Premier League side Newcastle United, signing a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee. In September 2014, he bagged his first two goals for the club during a 3-2 win against Crystal Palace in the third round of the League Cup. On 31 August 2016, Riviere was loaned out to La Liga side Osasuna for the 2016/17 season. The forward has represented France at all youth levels.
