Fabio Ferreira

Fábio Miguel Lourenco Ferreira, born on 3rd May 1989, is a Portuguese midfielder who plays for {team.name}. Ferreira was registered into Sporting Lisbon’s youth system in 2002 as a 13-year-old but in 2005 he switched Portugal for England to join the youth divisions at Chelsea. He signed a professional contract with the Blues in 2006 and in the 2007/08 season featured heavily for the reserve team. He made his professional career debut while on a two-month loan at Oldham Athletic in 2009 which turned out to be Ferreira’s only contribution in English football as he returned to Portugal in the summer. He spent three years in the lower divisions in his homeland and Australia before returning to top flight football with Adelaide United in 2012. He helped the club to win the FFA Cup in 2014 but in January 2015, both the player and the club agreed to terminate Ferreira’s contract effective immediately. He signed for Central Coast Mariners just a few hours later
