Fabricio Coloccini

Fabricio Coloccini is an Argentine centre back, born on the 22nd January 1982, who currently plays for San Lorenzo. His professional debut came in 1999 for Boca Juniors, and shortly afterwards in March 2000 he was bought by AC Milan for US$7.25m. Unable to break through for the Italians, he was loaned out, first to San Lorenzo in his homeland, and later to Spanish sides Alavés (2001-02), Atlético de Madrid (2002-03) and Villarreal (2003-04) before joining Deportivo de La Coruna in January 2005 for US$6.5m. In August 2008 he signed for Newcastle United in England, who paid US$19m. After eight mixed years with Newcastle, he returned to San Lorenzo, the team he supports, in July 2016.
