Injury hampered his progress, but he made his competitive debut for the club in March 2016, in a Copa Libertadores match against Atlético Nacional. An Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 international for Uruguay, Buschiazzo was loaned to Argentine Primera División side Defensa y Justicia for the 2016-17 season.
