Felipe Caicedo

Felipe Caicedo is a Ecuadorian forward, born 5th September 1988, he plays for Lazio. Powerful forward Caicedo started his first game as a professional with Basel back in 2006. Caicedo actually played his first Ecuador international before actually being classed as a professional player, when he made his debut in the Copa America in 2005. After showing glimpses of quality at Basel he left to join English side Manchester City. His €7 million fee however was never really justified as he scored just four goals for the club across a three year spell. A big factor to this was probably due to his time away from the club on loan, failing at Sporting and Malaga he had a great run of form at Levante which encouraged Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow. They forked over €7.5 million for the striker. He struggled to settle in Russia and was off to UAE club Al Jazira in 2013. However that was also a short stint as he terminated his contract upon the arrival of former Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic. He signed for Espanyol on a free transfer in January 2014 and has since gone on to score 17 goals for the club.
