Fernando Belluschi

Fernando Belluschi is an Argentine midfielder, born on the 10th September 1983, who currently plays for Lanús. He made his professional debut in 2002 for Newell’s Old Boys. In July 2006 he moved to River Plate, who angered bitter rivals Boca Juniors (who owned part of Belluschi’s economic rights), paying US$5m for him. After a decent start for River as a playmaker, he fell away form-wise when played deeper, and moved to Greek side Olympiakos in December 2007 for US$10m. In July 2009 he joined Portuguese club Porto for US$7m, later being loaned to Italian side Genoa before a US$3m transfer to Bursaspor of Turkey. In August 2015 he signed for Mexican side Cruz Azul on a free transfer, and in January 2016 joined San Lorenzo in Argentina, also on a free transfer. Belluschi has won five league titles, four domestic cups and four domestic supercups, as well the Europa League in 2011 with Porto.
