Fernando de La Fuente

Fernando De La Fuente is an Argentine midfielder who plays for Quilmes. Born on the 26th March 1986, he made his professional debut in 2006 for Racing Club, but struggled for playing time and spent the 2007-08 season on loan at San Martin de San Juan. For 2008-09 he was loaned to Unión de Santa Fe, and subsequent loan spells followed with Atlético de Rafaela and Chacarita Juniors, before a US$1.6m move to Chilean side O’Higgins. There, he became a fan favourite but fell out with manager Eduardo Berizzo, and was sent on loan in February 2012 to La Serena. For the 2012-13 season he was loaned to Chilean giants Colo Colo, and he spent part of 2013 on loan at Argentine side Instituto de Córdoba before being given a free transfer and signing for Santiago Wanderers in January 2014. In July that year he returned to Argentina, moving to Nueva Chicago, and subsequently he played for Patronato before signing for Quilmes ahead of the 2016-17 season.
