Fernando Monetti

Fernando Monetti is an Argentine goalkeeper, born on the 21st February 1989, who plays for San Lorenzo. Monetti made his professional debut for Gimnasia La Plata in 2010, and became first choice during the Torneo Clausura 2011, keeping the spot in spite of Gimnasia’s relegation that year. In 2013, Gimnasia came back up to the Primera at the end of a season in which Monetti had broken the club record for time without conceding. In January 2015, Monetti was transferred to Lanús for US$1.8m. In 2016, Lanús won the transitional Primera championship with Monetti between the sticks.
