Gerard Deulofeu

Gerard Deulofeu is a Spanish international forward who currently plays for Watford. Deulofeu has represented Spain at youth level – winning the UEFA U19 European Championships twice – and captained the U21 side; he made his senior international debut against Bolivia in May 2014. Born on 13th March 1994, the quick, skilful winger is a graduate of Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy. Having starred in La Liga2 for the Barcelona ‘B’ team, for whom he scored 27 goals in 68 appearances, Deulofeu made six appearances for the Barca first-team under Pep Guardiola and Tito Vilanova and was part of the squads that one La Liga in 2012/13 and Copa del Rey in 2012 and 2014. A loan to Everton for the 2013/14 season was followed by another temporary move saw him play five matches in Sevilla’s run to the UEFA Europa League trophy in 2014/15. He returned to Everton in a permanent deal worth £4.2m in July 2015.
