Glen Johnson is an English full-back, born on 23rd August 1984, who plays for . Johnson started his career with West Ham, who he joined when he was nine. After making his senior debut while on loan at Millwall, the defender returned to make his West Ham debut in January 2003. In July 2003 he signed for Chelsea, but was never more than a squad player at the club. A loan to Portsmouth followed in 2006, with the move made permanent the following summer. The defender’s performances improved at Portsmouth, which saw rumours arise of a big transfer. The move eventually came when he signed for Liverpool in 2009. Johnson’s form and fitness fluctuated while with the Merseyside club before he was released in June 2015. He then joined Stoke City on a free transfer. After making his senior debut in 2003, Johnson featured in three major tournaments for England.
