Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is a Swiss international midfield player who plays for Arsenal. Xhaka was born in Basel and began his youth career with Concordia Basel, before joining Basel in 2002. The midfielder went on to play for the youth teams at Basel before stepping up to the first team in 2010. Xhaka then moved to Borussia Monchengladbach in May 2012 for a fee believed to be around £7 million. Although he could have played for Albania, the midfielder opted for Switzerland and made his senior debut against England in 2011.
