Graziano Pellè

Graziano Pelle is an Italian international striker who plays club football for Shandong Luneng. Born on 15th July 1985, Pelle joined hometown club Lecce as a youngster and made his first-team debut in January 2004. Loan moves to Serie B with Catania, Crotone and Cesena were followed by a €6 million switch for the powerful centre forward to AZ in the Netherlands – for whom he would make 20 appearances during their 2008/9 Eredivisie-winning campaign. After four years, Pelle returned to Italy with Parma for six months before a loan spell with Sampdoria, where he was part of the Genoa club’s promotion to Serie A. A move to Feyenoord in August 2012 is where the goal scorer made his name – hitting 55 goals in 66 matches for the Rotterdam giants. Pelle continued his impressive scoring rate after an £8m move to Southampton in July 2014 – netting 30 times in 81 games – before signing for Chinese side Shandong Luneng for £13m in July 2016. Pelle won his first cap for Italy in October 2014 and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2016.
