Hernán Barcos

Hernán Barcos is an Argentine centre forward, born on the 11th April 1984, who plays for Atlético Nacional. He made his first team debut aged 20 in 2004 for Racing Club, but only played three games without scoring before moving on loan to Guarani in Paraguay. More loans followed to Ecuador’s Olmedo, Serbia’s Red Star Belgrade, Argentina’s Huracán, Chinese sides Shanghai Shenua and Shenzen, before in January 2010 he signed for Ecuador’s Liga de Quito. There, he found playing time and form, winning the Recopa Sudamericana (supercup) and Ecuadorian league in 2010 before moving to Brazil, first with Palmeiras in 2012 before a move back to China with Tianjin Teda in 2013. In February 2016 he went to Sporting CP in a part exchange, but was loaned to Vélez Sarsfield in his homeland a few months later. As well as his titles with Liga de Quito, he also won the Copa Brasil with Palmeiras in 2012.
