Iván Pillud

Iván Pillud is an Argentine right back, born on the 24th April 1986, who plays for Racing Club. Pillud made his competitive bow for Tiro Federal in the B Nacional (second division), having been released from San Lorenzo’s youth setup. He moved on loan to Newell’s Old Boys in the Primera División for 2008-09, before going to Spanish side Espanyol on loan for the 2009-10 season. In August 2010 he joined Racing Club, and in January 2014 later joined Hellas Verona on loan. After he struggled to make an impact in Italy, they decided not take up their option to buy, and he returned to Racing in June that same year, in time to help Racing to their first league title in 13 years in late 2014.
