Jack Cork

Jack Cork is a former England U21 international who plays for Burnley. Born on 25th June 1989, the box-to-box central midfielder joined Chelsea aged nine and would captain the Blues’ youth and reserve teams. A lack of first-team opportunities meant a series of loan spells over the space of four years at Bournemouth – for whom he made his senior debut in November 2006 – Scunthorpe, Southampton, Watford, Coventry and Burnley. In July 2011, he returned to Southampton on a permanent deal – featuring in all 46 matches of the Saints’ promotion campaign from the Championship. After regular Premier League appearances at St Mary’s, Swansea paid £3m for the midfielder in January 2015. Cork has represented England at youth level up to the U21 side and was a member of the Team GB squad at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
