Javier Pinola

Javier Pinola is an Argentine defender, born on the 24th February 1983, who currently plays for River Plate. His first team debut came in 2001 for Chacarita Juniors, and in July 2002 he was signed by Atlético de Madrid for US$800,000. He spent 2004 and the first half of 2005 on loan at Argentine side Racing, before a two year loan to Germany’s FC Nurnberg between June 2005 and June 2007. That stay was made permanent for US$1.6m, and he stayed in Germany for eight years, winning the German Cup in 2007, before joining Rosario Central in his homeland on a free transfer in July 2015.
