Jim O’Brien

Born on 28th September 1987, James O’Brien is a former Republic of Ireland U21 international attacker who plays for Notts County. Born in Dunbartonshire, Scotland he began his career as a junior at Celtic and made one league appearance during the 2007/8 Scottish Premiership title-winning season. An attacking midfielder, who can play across the final third, he joined Motherwell at the start of the following season, where he spent two years before heading south to the English Championship with Barnsley. Coventry City and Scunthorpe United then took the player on board before a free transfer to Shrewsbury Town in July 2016.
