John O’Shea

John O’Shea is an Irish defender, born on 30th April 1981, who plays for . O’Shea joined Manchester United when he was 17, making his senior debut for the club in 1999. Loans to Bournemouth and Royal Antwerp, in 2000 and 2001 respectively, followed. The Irishman was used as a versatility player throughout his time at Manchester United and featured in every position for the club. He was a member of the squad through an extremely successful time, winning countless periods of silverware throughout his period at Old Trafford. In 2011, O’Shea left the Red Devils to join Sunderland. The defender earned his first senior international cap in 2001 and made over 100 appearances for his country.
