John Terry is an English central defender who plays for . Born on 7th December 1980, Terry is a graduate of the Chelsea academy and made his first team debut against Aston Villa in 1998. In the 2000-01 season, Terry broke through as a regular starter at the heart of Chelsea’s defence and took over the armband from Marcel Desailly in 2003-04. The arrival of Jose Mourinho in 2004-05 saw Terry captain Chelsea to consecutive Premier League titles, with Terry also lifting the trophy in 2010 and 2015. Terry captained England in two separate stints, too, winning over 70 caps for his country.
