Jonas Olsson

Jonas Olsson is a Swedish international defender who plays for . Born on 10th March 1983, he joined hometown club Landskrona as a youth player before going on to make his senior debut for the club in 2003. In July 2005, the tall, tough-tackling centre-half moved to the Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen, where he became a regular in the Eredivisie during three years at the club. West Bromwich Albion paid an initial £800,000 for the Olsson in August 2008; a move that would be the start of more than 250 appearances – many as captain – for the Baggies. During the 2009/10 season, he was a near ever-present as West Brom sealed promotion back to the Premier League, where they have remained during Olsson’s time at the club. Olsson made his international debut in June 2010, and represented Sweden at UEFA Euro 2012.
