Jonathan Walters

Jonathan Walters is an Irish forward, born on 20th September 1983, who plays for . Walters started his career with Blackburn, but was moved on to Bolton Wanderers after poor discipline. Loan spells at Hull City, Crewe Alexandra and Barnsley followed for the Irishman, although he made his senior debut for Bolton in the Premier League. He re-joined Hull permanently in 2004, but the move did not work out and he was sent to Scunthorpe on a short loan in 2005. Walters was sold to Wrexham, who he remained with for the 2005-06 season. One year with the club gave the forward regular minutes, but he moved on to Chester in 2006 for a few months before signing for Ipswich in January 2007. His improvement continued with the East Anglia club and he was a key player for the side. This saw interest from Stoke City and he signed for the Potters in 2010. Walters made his senior international debut in 2010 and represented his country at the 2016 European Championships.
