Jone Samuelsen

Jone Samuelsen is a former Norway international midfielder currently playing his football for Odd. Samuelsen was born in Stavanger on July 6th 1984. He made his professional debut of Haugesund in 2001 and became a regular in the side during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He became Viking’s second highest transfer at £200,000 when he moved in 2003, going on to represent Viking over 100 times. He is probably best known for his famous headed goal, from his own half none the less, against Tromso IL on 25 September 2011. The goal was officially measured at 57.8 metres, a Guinness World Record. Samuelsen joined Odd in 2010 and due to his form as called into the Norwegian squad in 2014.
