José Holebas

Jose Holebas is a Greek international defender who currently plays club football for Watford. Born in Germany on 27th June 1984, the attacking left full-back rose to prominence in the German lower leagues with Viktoria Kahl before spending four years with TSV 1860 Munich – where he featured in the ‘B’ team, plus the first team in Bundesliga 2. Four years and more than 100 appearances with Olympiakos followed between 2010 and 2014, in which time Holebas lifted four Greek Super League titles and two Kypello Elladas (Greek Cup). In August 2014, Roma paid €3m for the Greek who would feature in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League before a £1.8m transfer to Watford in July 2015. Holebas has made more than 30 appearances for Greece, including appearances at UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
