Keith Keane is a former Republic of Ireland international who currently plays for . Registered as a Cambridge United player, Keane joined Rochdale on a six-month’s loan deal at the start of the 2016/17 season. Born in Luton on 20th November 1986, Keane is best known for his time with his hometown club, Luton Town – whom he initially joined as a schoolboy and made his senior debut for as a 16 year old. During nine years and 273 appearances at senior level, Keane represented the Hatters from the National League to the Championship, and lifted the Football League Trophy at Wembley in 2009. He signed for Preston North End in July 2012, before spells at Crawley Town and Stevenage, before joining Cambridge United on a free transfer in July 2015.
