Lamine Koné

Lamine Kone is an Ivorian centre-back, born on 1st February 1989, who plays for Strasbourg. Kone began his career with Chateauroux, making his senior debut in 2007. He remained with the club until 2010, when he joined Lorient. The defender spent several seasons with Lorient, having been signed to replace Laurent Koscielny. In January 2016, Kone left France to transfer to Sunderland. He tried to force a move away from the club the following summer, but he remained with the Black Cats and signed a new contract in September 2016. Kone had represented France in youth football, but made his senior international debut for the Ivory Coast in 2014.
