Laurent Koscielny

Laurent Koscielny is a French central defender, who was born on 10th September 1985, and plays for Bordeaux. The Frenchman started his career with Guingamp and largely played as a right-back between 2004 and 2007, before a move to Tours FC where he believed he could breakthrough as a central defender. In just two seasons in Ligue 2, Koscielny impressed with Tours sufficiently to earn himself a move to Lorient in Ligue 1. Spending the 2009-10 season with Lorient, Koscielny caught the eye of Arsène Wenger and moved to Arsenal for around £8 million. The ball-playing defender went on to win the FA Cup with Arsenal in both 2014 and 2015 and made his debut for the French senior team in 2011.
