Luka Jovic

Luka Jović is a Serbian striker who plays for Real Madrid and was born on December 23, 1997 in Bijeljina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jović took his first steps in professional football with Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade having rejected an offer from rivals Partizan. In May 2014, aged 16 years, five months and five days, Jović became Red Star’s youngest debutant, succeeding former Internazionale midfielder Dejan Stanković, and scored the game’s only goal two minutes after his introduction. He later became the youngest player to feature in the ‘Eternal Derby’ against Partizan, aged 16 years, nine months and 25 days. Next up was a move to Benfica but it was on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt where he caught the attention, netting 36 times in 75 appearances across two seasons. Having made his loan switch permanent, Die Adler sold Jović to Real Madrid for £55.7million in 2019.
