Luke Daniels

Luke Daniels is a former England youth international goalkeeper who plays for Brentford. Born on 5th January 1988, Daniels is a tall, commanding goalkeeper who has made more than 200 appearances across nine clubs since starting out in the Manchester United academy. With the route to the Old Trafford first team blocked, Daniels moved to West Bromwich Albion in July 2004 and was an unused substitute during the Baggies’ 2009 Championship play-off final defeat to Derby County. He would return to Wembley in 2009 for the League Two play-off final with Shrewsbury Town, but again he would end on the losing side. His 11 years at the Hawthorns – which included a clean sheet in his one Premier League appearance – ended in January 2015 when signed for Scunthorpe United on a free transfer.
