Marc Richards

Marc Richards is a former England youth international striker who plays for Yeovil Town. Born on 8th July 1982, in Wolverhampton, the experienced forward had made more than 400 career appearances across more than 10 clubs in the English Football League by the start of the 2016/17 season. He signed for Northampton Town on a permanent deal in July 2014, having already scored 12 times in 65 games in his first spell at the club between 2003 and 2005. It is no coincidence that Richards wears the No.9 shirt, given that he is an archetypal tall, powerful centre-forward who can link the play in the final third and who comes alive the penalty area. He has captained Northampton on a number of occasions and was an integral part of the club’s 2015/16 League Two title-winning season.
